Fukuoka is considered the birthplace of tea in Japan, and today, Yame is considered one of the most important tea producing regions in the country. Yame sets the industry standard for technique and skill in producing tea, and specifically Matcha production and processing. In this class, guests will taste a range of blends from this historic region while learning about its history and current-day significance. While this class is designed to complement our Matcha: An Introduction class, it is a great stand-alone session for those looking to dive deeper into their journey and explore some of the most prized teas of Japan.
The class is 90 minutes long and features an info session, tasting, and a small dessert pairing.
