We are proud to introduce our 2018 Tea Collections. Teas featured in each set were personally sourced by Kettl and are part of our exclusive catalog of products. Each and every product featured stands as a best in class with low production amounts and often coming from award winning producers. Tea of this caliber rarely, if ever makes it out of Japan. Until Now.  Each set is hand wrapped in a Japanese timber box.

Set 1 Includes

Rare Collection

1 x Shizuku Gyokuro, 50g

This hon, or true gyokuro, is shaded for 20 days before being hand harvested. Elevated levels of the amino acid theanine impart a deep and pervasive savoriness that is balanced by a gentle floral finish.

1 x Asa no Yume Tamaryokucha, 50g

We are proud to offer you the exclusive house tea for NYC's Sushi Nakazawa. Grown by our good friend Masatoshi Matsuo san, this tea was the 2014 grand prize winner of the 2014 Tokyo Tea Party Nihoncha Awards. This Asatsuyu varietal Tamaryokucha is a curled leaf, steamed green tea hailing from Nagasaki Prefecture. Expect beautiful aromatics, refreshing and focused flavor on the palate, and a lasting buttery sweetness.

Our Genmai Matcha hails from the famed town of Uji and is a blend of first flush sencha, high grade matcha powder, and toasted puffed-brown rice. A deep green cup with a silky mouthfeel and a lovely baked grain finish.


1 x Ayame Kabuse, 100g. 

Our #1 seller. Ayame is wrap shaded for 10 days prior to harvest. Sharing characteristics of both gyokuro and sencha, expect a bright piney aroma with a dose of round, buttery, umami.

Kyoto Collection

1 x Uji No Sato Sencha, 100g.

A delicate sencha from Uji, Japan’s most revered tea growing region. Uji no Sato is a classic example of the Uji terroir: golden liquor, light silky body, and the unmistakable “Uji aroma”.


1 x Jou Yanagi Houjicha, 200g. 

We are pleased to offer a tea from Kyoto's legendary purveyor, Ryuouen: A deep roasted hojicha. Late harvest Uji bancha is drum roasted until reaching a deep brown, almost black hue. Incredibly fragrant and easy drinking, this is the perfect winter cup.

Sencha Collection

1 x Tsutsuji Sencha, 50g.

Tsutsuji is hand-picked and processed to be shown competitively in Japan. Laser focused and round on the palate with a balanced umami and sugar pea like sweetness.


1 x Sumire Sencha, 100g. 

A deeply fragranced tea from the famed Kirishima district of Kagoshima. This beautiful sencha boasts a deep jade hue, exotic floral overtone, and rich, silky mouthfeel.
