Kettl and Okonomi present our second in a series of Japanese Tea Classes: Matcha. Zach Mangan, owner of Kettl, will present an in depth historical overview of matcha. This class will explore Japan's three major matcha production areas Uji, Fukuoka and Nishio and you will discover how processing and terroir affect the flavor profle of each tea. Attendees will have the chance to make matcha themselves or sit back and have it made for them. The class size is small to ensure everyone has a chance to get personal attention and ask as many questions as they like. This class will include printed materials, extensive tasting, included snack, and the opportunity to buy the featured teas at a 20% discount.
